TAKE ME TO NEW YORK
IN SEPTEMBER 2023

Here are our recommendations for what to pack.

  • Light loose fitting cotton and breathable clothing, short and long sleeved T-shirts, tops, short trousers or shorts and skirts.

  • Short and long sleeved vests.

  • A light sweater or cardigan

  • A light weight jacket. It doesn't have to be a coat, but you'll probably need more than just a denim jacket.

  • Enclosed waterproof shoes. You could get caught in an unexpected storm or rain shower! Ideally, take some light trekking boots but if you don't have any, trainers would be fine. It's best to take two pairs so if you get wet you have a spare pair.

  • Sunscreen.

  • Hat, cap, visor or whatever you wear to cover your head.

  • Sunglasses.

The best way to dress for this sort of climate is in layers. If you take a backpack you can put in and take out clothes as you need them including when you are in any closed or indoor place like a museum or the metro.

We are confident in making these recommendations because our guides travel with you which means they have first-hand experience of what is needed during the month of September in New York.
